Lumines downgrader:
Materials:
A PSP with 3.50 firmware
A LEGAL copy of Lumines (Now works on US, EU, JP, and Korean version!)
The 3.50 Downgrader package (Found here)
The 3.50 Update Eboot (Found here)
The 1.50 Update Eboot (Found here)
A Memory stick that is bigger than 32mb.
Warning: There is a chance that you might brick your PSP. This will NOT happen if you follow everything EXACTLY! If you do brick your PSP then it is not my fault or PSP3d's.
Procedure:
1. If you are not at 3.50 then upgrade to it using the 3.50 Update Eboot, link is above. Place it in the ms0:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE folder.
Make sure you have 100% battery and your PSP is plugged in when you upgrade or downgrade! Once you are finished, delete the folder you just created.
2. Copy the contents of the MS_Root folder, from the 3.50 downgrader package, to the root of your memory stick. Make sure you take every thing out of the MS_Root folder.
3. unzip the 1.50 update and rename it from eboot.pbp to update.pbp. Then put it in ms0:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE. DO NOT OVER WRITE THE FILE NAMED eboot.pbp IN THE PSP\GAME\UPDATE FOLDER!!!
4. Load Lumines and Press X to start the game.
5. Your PSP will have a black screen then it will go blue then it will reset its self.
6. Check that HEN is running by going to system settings, then to "System Information" and it should show up as system version 350 HEN.
7. If it says 350HEN then go to the game icon and click on Memory Stick. Then run the x.yz update.
8. If you have an unpatched TA-082 or higher motherboard, you will be prompted to allow the downgrader to patch your motherboard so it can be safely downgraded. The downgrader will not let you proceed without patching, if your motherboard requires it.
9. Agree to what it says and it will begin. MAKE SURE YOUR PSP IS PLUGGED IN!!
10. Once it is finished, press X and the PSP will reset its self again.
11. Your PSP might say that your settings are corrupt. This is normal. Just reenter them.
That's it! You now have a 1.50 PSP and can enjoy all homebrew.
You can upgrade to an OE firmware if you wish or you can stay at 1.50. For upgrading to an OE firmware check theaceoffire's tutorial (found here). I recommend using 3.03 OE-C firmware. You will have full XMB customizing abilities and you still have the OE features. But if you wish, you can use any other firmware.
NOTE: If you had to patch your motherboard then you should read this: Currently you can not upgrade to 3.30+firmware because Sony has blocked it. But never fear because 3.10 OE firmware will still work. Soon either Team Noobz or Dark_AleX will release a program that will fix this. It says so in the readme :P. Keep watching PSP3d for it, we will let you all know as soon as we know!
If I wrote anything wrong PLEASE LET ME KNOW! Also any comments are welcome.
NOTE: If you brick your psp, which is highly impossible, it is not my fault nor is it PSP3d's. It is your own fault.
