renaming homebrew appz

is there any way i can rename my homebrew apps like emu's so that i can tidy my psp up abit ?

Rename the folder? Or do you mean the name stored inside the file?
PBP Unpacker can do that, if you're willing to unpack/re-pack your EBOOT file.

when i go into my memory card in the menu like my nesterj has got nesterj nes emulator 1.20beta2 next to it and id like to edit that if its possible ?

Yeah, you can edit that with PBP unpacker. Here's a little tutorial:

Apps You Will Need
Steps
  • Find the folder of the homebrew you want to edit. Open it.
  • Open the EBOOT.PBP in this folder in PBP Unpacker, and double-click the PARAM.SFO file.
  • A table will come up in a new window. Find the line that says 'Title', and the homebrew's title should be in the middle column.
  • Double-click on it, and type in the ideal name of it under 'Data', overwriting the old stuff. Press enter.
  • After closing the window with the table, save the EBOOT.PBP over the old one.
