Damaged PSP Help

Ok. Lemme start off with what happened...

I started taking out the screws of my PSP because I had gotten a screw stuck inside the UMD drive and I wanted to get the major dust out of my D-Pad and buttons.
Basically what happens is there is a screw left over that is stripped. So after a day...My Mom decided to have this stupid idea to hammer a screwdriver into the stripped screw which she did.
She made this sort of gap where the last screw was and now my PSP won't even turn on. (It's the lower-left most screw in the fat PSP's battery compartment.)

Anyone have any ideas how I might be able to fix it without sending it into Sony? (I don't want to lose my custom firmware and I also don't have any money at all to send it in.)

Oh and if anyone needs pictures, I can post some.

I not sure if you have tried this but the connection might be loose between the power switch and the PSP, so maybe if you fiddled around with that see if that helps, post some pictures so we can see it better.

Yeah, sounds like something's screwed up. If the light doesn't turn on then there's probolly something wrong with the power board thing. You could always buy a new one off ebay!

ebay really sucks to buy consoles now. It's all spam and scams . ebay should really do something about that.

Ok, I got on irc.dark-alex.org and someone helped me fix it. Turns out a connection came loose inside but all is well now. Just my X button is messed up. Anyone know where I can find one of those new rubber pads that used for the buttons?
