rgb scart cable umds but not game play?

hi all,

i've just got a rgb scart cable for my slim cfw psp. it plays umds etc in colour and works well. it is supposed to play games also but the psp nags me saying i need a d/ component cable to play games and to run it in progressive mode. i know my lcd can do rgb as i got an ntsc psx game working on it in colour using an rgb cable. whats going on? what am i missing? thanks.

That is, unfortunately, the truth - composite cables cannot be used to play games. I think there might be a plugin available on the internet which fixes this, though. (Plugins are .PRX files, but only available on hacked firmwares.) Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
