I tried putting them in different folders and adjusting my settings in the recovery menu but nothing worked. Suggestions?

I think the problem was the PSP had to be the latest version to run the demos so this tricked the system into thinking it was 5.01 when I went to run the demos. Now when the next version is released hopefully the same thing can be done

Then you take the version.txt file from the dump and use it to overwrite the version.txt file on your Flash0. Make sure the version.txt option is enabled in the recovery menu and you are good

| | | | I am currently have the same issue as you guys are having. I tried running psardumper and selected "Press square to decrypt all.". I got lost on the last part of your directs though. I have not gotten very far in learning a lot of the ins and outs of the CFW and other software that works with it, but I really want to be able to play demos when they come out.
Could someone post up some good step by step instructions to fix the issue with demos not working? I poked around a little tonight to fix this, but I do not know enough about this to be helpful as of yet.
Thank you. |

Start your PSP and hold R to open the recovery menu.
Connect a USB cable then under the advanced option select toggle Flash0.
Doubleposted Message Below:
Once it opens the flash0 on your computer use the version.txt from the dump to overwrite the one on flash0.
Disconnect from the computer, make sure the use version.txt option is enabled in the recovery menu under configuration and that should do it.
Sorry for the double post. The site was being stubborn and giving me the page not found error when I went to post my response

| | | I found something, after going more research, at PSN Demos freezing 5.00 M33-3 Quote:

To get it to work I did the following. I'll try to actually figure out what setting is causing the error a little later though.
In recovery menu:
Configuration:
Disabled
Disabled
5.xx
Disabled
Normal UMD Required
Disabled
Disabled
Memory Stick
Disabled
Disabled
Disabled
Advanced -> Advanced Configuration:
Disable all.
CPU Speed:
All default.
Mine worked fine after this. I tried the Demo Ecochrome.

I set everything has this person had it set and my demos are now working. I am going to work backwards and find out which setting(s) is causing this to happen. Thank you for replying to my post.
I was able to get it working with what you posted as well jsf. Thanks again.
