I haven't used my psp for a long time because of this. Guess it's just broken...

The analog always goes left. Although I won't be having the problem much any more, no thanks to my new Red Rings of Death. Thanks Micro$oft! |

1. Unscrew your PSP and remove the faceplate.
2. You should see your analog nub section still attached to the faceplate. Try to clean any dust that might be on it.
3. There should be a small rubber-like connector that is right underneath where the analog nub would attach to the main board. Take that little rubber thing out and flip it over. (Be careful, its breakable. Make sure the rubber thing it upside down and not on its side when you put it back in.)
4. This is probably the hardest part. You need to set the faceplate back on and then turn your psp on. Go to the web browser and nudge the analog stick a bit until the pointer is completely still.
5. Now just try hold the faceplate aginst the psp as tight as you can while you screw it back together.
That's what I usually do when mine messes up, but usually not all of that is nessasary. Depending on your problem, you might not have to do step 3. |

| | | | Is the stick only active when in games and using the browser if this is the case that would explain alot
Have noticed though that the rubber thing between the stick and contact is missing would this cause a problem. |

If you leave the rubber thing out the analog stick doesn't work at all. I axadentally tore a small bit off the connecter once and it sucked big time. I couldn't find any replacments online. Had to sell it on ebay.
I bet I could of just soldered the analog stick directly to the bored, but that would of be as hard as crap. |

| | | | If you take the stick out and switch the psp on it behaves exactly the same when you enter say the browser the pointer just moves down the page by itself with the stick in or out think its probably the rubber thingy anyone any ideas where to get a replacement. |
