Seeing as my guide now covers much more than just the original, I would like the guides title to be renamed to:

Using Homebrew on 1.5 and Corrupted Icons Guide

by a mod, if that is OK, as I cannot do this myself, and I would like others to know what this guide covers.

on of the easiest ways is to use the dark_alex custom firmware or the 2.71se-a both these have the option to (a) hide corrupt icons and (b) run 1.0 style eboots which would erradicate the problem completely, but take note use with caution, as they have flash access the could lead to bricking if used incorrectly id only recommend using them if you have a fairly advanced knowledge of psp homebrew and are definately not a "noob"
