You need some way of launching the application for it to work and flash the psp.
On 2.50/6 there was an exploit made by Edison Cater that allowed you to load files threw GTA, Fanjita made an Eloader to load more files etc...
Thats how the downgrader file works on 2.5/6..
You cannot just load a file, Unless you have a Sony encryption key.
With 2.7+ they patched up GTA.
So any files that can flash you psp to 1.50 wont load and therefore wont flash.
Hope this helps... joshrulez2:
This is the process I have done, And I believe 2.60 firmware to be more stable.
You can if you want skip that bit and it still proboly work completly fine, But as I upgraded to 2.60 for it to work I thought i'ld tell others the way I have done it as It worked for me.
Thanks

THAT IT MIGHT BREAK ("brick") YOUR PSP.

Yes, LOL, maybe I did, But only because I feel you need to keep on telling people this because some just ignore it, After a while it gets drilled into there head , Thanks Just Plain Evil:
Nice to hear it worked for you, Good luck with your new 1.50.
If you dont know where to get legal freeware roms already i would advice: http://www.psp-hacks.com
They also have some nice emulators.
All of which are perfectly legal as long as you play freeware games on them or already own the games.

Download the files included with my first post.
With it is an (.exe) file that is called: Eloader.
You need to connect your psp and it will load the eloader to your psp.
Then follow the rest of the instructions to downgrade.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Hello, You are correct in saying that using a 32mb will brick.
2GB is very big and about £35 off ebay.
If you only want the memory card to downgrade a 62mb would do it.
Althought a 2GB would enable 2 to 4 ISO games to be saved on the stick also.
Good luck and hope this helps...

| | | | This is weird. I've never used the eloader before---anyway, I installed it and I start up GTA. It loads the eloader automatically--I don't even get an option to load it manually no matter what I press. Then it brings up what I'm assuming is the eloader main screen and on the bottom right it says press start to quit. I can't---no matter what button I press nothing happens. Then the PSP just turns off after about 15 seconds.
Am I doing something wrong?
Doubleposted Message Below:
Forget it. I figured out I had the wrong version of the current eloader. I knew there was supposed to be a fixed version but it wasn't exactly obvious where it was.
