Does the DUMP folder provided work as the files you normally would get from the "1.50 helper"? in that case would it work with the 2.71 downgrader too?

If your PSP is a TA-082, it's impossible to downgrade.

EDIT: It's possible to dg a TA-082, but its very hard, and takes a long time. if you ahve the TA-082, i suggest that you wait for a better downgrader.

I have a problem with this guide. I'm running on firmware 2.50 and after i copy the '2.6 Eboot Update' folder into my PSP/GAME folder and load up ELoader through GTA:LCS, I choose run on the 'PSP||||||Version 2.6 Updater' it goes to a black screen and flashes a 2 sentence phrase (phrase basically mentions the makers of the update) twice and goes back to the ELoader screen. now if i press square on the 'PSP|||||||Version 2.6 Updater' it tells me that there is an error and press a key to exit. Any suggestions? TIA

Good news guys, because I could not run the 2.6 updater from ELoader, I just did the downdater straight from fw 2.5 through ELoader. Just place your DOWNDATER folder into root, and DOWNDATER EBoot folder inside your PSP/GAME folder. load up Eloader through GTA:LCS, choose downdater, should work. worked for me, only took a minute, my psp rebooted and 1.5! im currently running 3.02 oe-b. Msg me if you need more info. Thanks guys

A damn thorough, yet a tad obsolete, downgrader tut. If you check tut's post date, it was back in July '06.
