I never heard of you having to sign up on that site to play socom online, but ive only played Socom FTB. FTB has a sign up thing in the game, it doesnt like all names you put in but it works.
No, on the us version you just sign up (Ive Got US) but on the uk one you have to sign up with yourpsp.com and enter your online code or something, i lost mine so i couldnt play Lemmings (UK) online.
