My Mood: | | | | | My device manager always say: Can't load driver! Please update your driver!
But nothing happens when reInstall the driver, it's the same thing!
Can it be, that this don't work on Win98? |

| | Member | | | | probably needs at least Windows 2000. if you take into consideration that the PSP was released just over a year ago (i think?) most of the software and stuff made for it probably needs at least Win2000. So, (just a theory) the driver won't work on Windows 98 because its rather old. (but old isn't always a bad thing )
EDIT: now about that usb mod for the new devhook...

Unplug you PSP, and download the attatched BAT file that I made. Rename the file to .BAT instead of BAT.RAR . Open it, and follow the instructions in the black dialog box.
The device you are looking for is probably called "LibUSB-Win32 Devices". If it's there, uninstall any drivers under that name. If it's not, take a look around for "PSP Type B". If it's not there, then it's probably your Operating system that's the problem. |

My Mood: | | | | | Hm......the exact text in the device manager is: the Deviceloadprogramm NTKERN.VXD can't load DeviceDriver (Code 2)
Please update the driver.
when i look into the driverinfo it says:
driverfiles:
...
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VMM32.VXD (ntkern.vxd)
...
means that that this file is maybe corrupt or something else? |

EDIT: I don't get a file called VMM32.VXD. I only have libusb0.sys and libusb0.dll.
Try uninstalling the driver using the above method, and re-installing. |

My Mood: | | | | | hm......this is true....but maybe it will work when I get this file from somebody who has a higher OS
I think a test can't damage anything...so please someone: search this file and send it to me
Doubleposted Message Below:
ok, forgot it....the VMM32.VXD is a system file, which is used to boot Win98...
I'm so a noob...'cause I moved this file out of the system folder and my PC don't want to boot anymore....so I must use DOS to copy this file back...
