I'm thinking about buying a PSP, and of course the ability to run homebrew apps is a huge factor in this decision. However, I'm not sure if the PSP ships with version 2.60 here in North America. Obviouslly, if it did, I suppose I couldn't use most homebrew apps. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

As posted in another thread.....if you buy a PSP at a big chain shop like Walmart then the likelihood is that you will end up with a FW2.01 and up......but if you search out a little shop that doesnt do as big a business as walmart they might just have a 2.00 or less layin about......but the chances of that are slim...

Go to Canadian Tire! I am the one that asked that question earlier. I got a 1.52! Upgraded, then downgraded to 1.5! Or a little electronics shop, I bet The Source(radio shack) would have old ones too.

i got a 2.1, and am currently waiting for a downgrader... whick i hope will come sometime tomorrow cause i REALLY NEED IT NOW!!!
