just a thought: what would happen if you formatted your MS while using devhook?
if you formatted your memory stick from the XMB of your 2.71 emulated FW with the use of devhook, what would happen?

just tried it. it crashes and says there is an internal error. then , a red version of the restore default settings screen comes up ad it says "an internal error has occured - contact the customer support helpline" i hope your happy, ive just loads all my ISO's on my memory stick.
