Thumbs down gf game loading errors

Hi, my gf just took my psp with her to china.

now she just returned it and no umd are loading, with any umd in the drive it freezes the whole psp after a couple of seconds and i need to take out the battery to restart.

It was a 2.01, then i did the 2.6 -> 1.5 downgrade.

ive successfully updated to 2.0 then back to 1.5 but it hasnt fixed the problem.

It still loads Iso's but no umd's are loading, I think she tried installing something and messed it up.

Anyone else have this problem before?
can i fix it?

smack her out, u might have to get it repaird if its a hardware problem, but by the sounds of it, it aint cuz if it was just the umd which wasent running then the psp xmb would act normal, which it aint. try to format everything, try updating again, thats all i can think of. you could alwase ask sony for help, without mentioning the hb part ofcorse. by the way, u really gota SMACK HER OUT

It crashes with real UMD of - GTA, Fifa and Smackdown.

It loads for around 2 seconds then the little circles in the bottom right stop moving and the psp locks up. I cant press any buttons or reset the psp. The speed of the umd is slow then it stops and I have to take the battery out to restart.

Is there any homebrew apps to reset the psp to original firmware and software settings, maybe it is the umd driver or something messed up.

////

No i didnt leave battery out for 5mins when i went from 2.6 -> 1.5

////
ive tried to go from 1.5 -> 2.00 -> 1.5 to fix the problem but no luck.

Is there any point me trying 1.5 -> 2.6 -> 1.5?

have u checked if it's hardware or software error?? try to look inside the umd drive whit a flashlight and chek things out. i once lost a little piece of metal inside it, and it wouldn't come out coz of magnetism lol.

depends on what argos is. some will prolly say that "you need the latest firmware for everything to work 100%"
