can you do the gameboot thing on FW 2.80, and if you can, how?

no 2.7 and up dont have flash access yet and dont count on it very soon

Nope. Sorry, but 2.80 doesn't have Flash access. Right now, only firmwares 1.00-2.60 have the ability to use custom gameboots. If you have a 2.80, either wait a very long time for any possible exploits, or just trade in your PSP for a lower firmware.
