Talking DevHook 2.8 FW installer!

Originally seen on Dev!ant PSP

Yes people. We're almost there for 2.8 emulation. GmDude66 has released his modified FW installer that can be used to dump 2.8 files to your ms0! There is only one problem though. For some reason he can't get the reboot.bin to dump.

Here's what GmDude66 had to say about this released.

Quote:
This is a modified version of booster's firmware installer.

Just copy the two folders to "ms0:/PSP/GAME/", extract the DATA.PSAR file from the 2.80 update file and copy to the root of your memory stick.

Open the application using your PSP and then follow the directions on screen..

NOTE: I did not yet get the reboot.bin file from 2.80, so obviously this will not emulate 2.80 until I get that file. This just shows that 2.80 can be decrypted, and how close we are to already emulating 2.80 via devhook
So there you have it. Now let's just hope that people put this to use.

Download the files via comments.

So sad how stupid people can be, it just dumps an encrypted dump, nothing more, and you cant dump the reboot.bin on 1.50 so he should give up
