He accidentaly flashed a non-working gameboot. We all know the only way to fix this is to run Recovery Mode and start the 2.00 update.
He's basically asking "How do I get to recovery mode?", well, unless you have a custom firmware installed, you can't. He doesn't have any custom firmware installed, he just flashed a gameboot.
Problem is, he can't run any EBOOTs or UMDs, due to the fact that the corrupted gameboot will always freeze his PSP. "Why doesn't he use the eLoader?" you asked, well, the only way to run homebrew on 1.5 (which he has), is to run it from the game menu. Kind of a backfire from what we all want. There are no exploits that will allow an eLoader on 1.5. Remember, the TIFF viewer didn't come until 2.0, so that's out of the question.
Basically, there's nothing you can do about it. You're stuck with a corrupted gameboot without custom firmware. Sorry to say, but your PSP can now only be used for Photo, Music, and Video. Unless someone finds a useful 1.5 exploit, you're stuck.
