yes, and making the psp freeze can easily be done by for example go to calendar.google.com in the psp browser, so if you makes it freeze, its prolly not usable. but still, keep thinking, and i'll gladly listen to more attempts.

You cant. you'll have to get a mod or an admin to do it for you. just leave them there, and let them die. it's the best way

No, and there is a simple reason, the exploit used to access kernel mode in 2.71 has been patched for 2.80+, we need full kernel mode in order to downgrade 2.50+, we may have partial flash access in user mode, but its not enough to do a flash rewrite and for it to succeed..

Conclusion: We need a new exploit inside of the tiff exploit in order to get kernel on 2.80+, which wont happen for awhile, but there is still hope

Oh, so when (or if) we get full kernel access on 2.80, we can downgrade? Does someone have to make another program for it, or could you just use the 2.71 downgrader?

IF we get kernal access on 2.80, someone (dark_alex, most likely), will write a new downgrader to account for the change in the IPL that is implimented in 2.80+. It also maybe possible that Sony makes higher F/W that has a new feature that could be more easily exploited. TIFF was not added to the PSP untill 2.0, and that was what has been exploited (twice). I think, though, that an exploiter should hold off on releasing any news untill Sony puts in the PS1 EMU. I want to be able to run that via dev-hook, and that requires a dump of the firmware.
