Conclusion: We need a new exploit inside of the tiff exploit in order to get kernel on 2.80+, which wont happen for awhile, but there is still hope |

Points: 30.04 Donate | | IF we get kernal access on 2.80, someone (dark_alex, most likely), will write a new downgrader to account for the change in the IPL that is implimented in 2.80+. It also maybe possible that Sony makes higher F/W that has a new feature that could be more easily exploited. TIFF was not added to the PSP untill 2.0, and that was what has been exploited (twice). I think, though, that an exploiter should hold off on releasing any news untill Sony puts in the PS1 EMU. I want to be able to run that via dev-hook, and that requires a dump of the firmware.
