DevHook Questions.

Okay, I've just installed the HarleyG's custom firmware v0.2 patch, and I want to get the whole DevHook thing worked out. So I have a few questions about it.

1. What is the most recent (and legal) version of DevHook? I'm assuming it's 0.46, but I need confirmation.

2. Is it safe to install DevHook (that same version) on a 1.5 with the custom firmware v0.2 patch installed?

3. How do I extract the 2.71 files and install them with DevHook?

Sorry, but I've never used DevHook before, so you could call me a noob at this sort of thing.

Thanks a bunch!

1. 0.46 is the most recent, but almost none of the dev-hook versions are "legal."
2. Yes. That's what I have running. Wifiswitch up=1.5, down=2.6 via dev-hook, "x" button pressed=iRShell
3. Use a Pasr dumper, and a bunch of other lame and hard to use Apps. I dumped my own, but it took ages to figure it all out and to de-bug. Your best bet is to find an auto-installer (psp-hacks.com has a good one).

Okay, thanks! I'll hopefully get it up and running smoothly.

And you installed DevHook after the custom firmware?

Actully, before. but it shouldn't matter. Dev-hook does not write to your flash, and thus won't interfere with the custom F/w. Bu just to be on the safe side, you may wish to uninstall HarleyG's, install devhook, and put HarleyG's back on.

Also, as a side note to everyone else, I am using an "unclean" 1.5 (I haven't upgraded to 2.0 then down to 1.5), and I have never had any problems with it.
Even with a custom F/W.

Hmm...would I uninstall it by running the 2.00 update, then going through the whole process again?

I don't really want to, as it may not be necessary.

Boot into recovery mode (Shut the psp down all the way, and as it is turning on, turn on "hold" untill you see the menu). From there, you can uninstall HarleyG's.
