Well, when I was at Www.noobz.eu looking for recent updates, I looked at the links.. Then I clicked on the one at PSPUPDATES.qj or whatever..

That's not important, what is important is this virus that they said was out...

Aparently, It copies itself to your PSP then, it runs itself.. It's a TIFF file, and they said it deletes all of your files..

That's when I said, "What about the 2.80 Users? The TIFF Exploit has 0% Kernal access... meaning that it cannot access those files to delete them, or it can access them, it just doesn't have permission to delete them."

I could be wrong... But for safety, I have my WLAN switch off.. Because you can't get a virus on your PSP if it doesn't have access to the internet... Well, it could be on your PC, but still.. I don't copy that much things for that kind of crap to happen.. lol.

www.pspupdates.qj.net is good with news, thats about all they are good with, but DCEMU is way faster than them, and it is possible for that to be true, but it wont work on 2.80 if its aiming for flash files. Plus this Tiff could only get on there from going to a certain site they have it set for, so as long as you dont go to sites you dont trust you will be fine

hujm I think that anti-virus tell that everything that is for the PSP that isn't from sony is a virus. But it isn't.

The virus is a fake downgrader. You have to download it, then manualy copy it to your memorystick, and finaly run the tiff. It doesn't auto install. It'll just re-write your flash0 with the hex code 'FF,' there by bricking the psp.
