Would it be possible to use a version changer (like the sonyteam one with v7.5) to change the version number in an emulated (devhooked) 1.5, to make that firmware dump a 7.5 with 1.5 features in order to play higher fw umds? cause there are some 2.8 (i think) games or going to be some 2.8 games that i want to play, but i don't want to update my 1.5. or is there anything around what i'm talking about we could to do achieve this? it seems like the 1.5 scene isn't getting much focus. it's still the best firmware in my opinion.

Just wait im pretty sure theres gunna be a devhook that will emulate 2.8 soon. Dont even think of updating your psp to 2.8, you will regret it for the rest of your life lol.

Ha, no way would I update my 1.50. i'd buy a second psp before i did that. which i might have to do anyway for the ps1 emu unless someone cracks it or devhooks it, but that will probably take forever. hopefully the psp price will drop a little more by then, or hopefully better deals start to show up. i wish there were more breakthroughs for 1.5 though.
