I would like to connect my Sony PSP to the internet using the wireless features. However I do not have a wireless internet connection. so I was wondering if I could connect my laptop to the internet (via a phoneline [broadband]) and then use the laptop wireless features to create a network with the PSP and connect it to the internet through the laptop?
]I'm running FirmWare 2.80....

Go down to properties and click the tab called "Wireless Networks". Then click the advanced button near the bottom and when the advanced window opens select "Computer to computer (adhoc) networks only". Once you select that apply all the changes, and when your psp attempts an adhoc connection your laptop should be able to recognize it and connect to it. You can test it by flipping on your wireless switch on the psp, setting the adhoc channel to automatic, then go over to the gamesharing option on the XMB. When you go there your laptop should be able to connect to the psp.

- Yes thats an option and i know that with certain cards they can be configured with some linux config such as prism cards to act as an access point rather that just in adoc mode. I use this at times when im out with my laptop but your best bet would just be to get a dongle to attach to your laptop usb port that basically repeats your highspeed connection and build a neat little wireless network. Its all up to you though.
