Every firmware 2.50+ has about the same method of downgrading, so it really doesn't matter. |

is it neccesary to format my memory stick?
i got tons of space.

And make sure there are no current firmware mods on the PSPs you use it on.
Be extremely careful. I don't wanna see another PSP brick! |

Points: 32.59 Donate | | | i got the easy 2.71 downgrader, that includes the files correct? i have a custom firmware on it now. with a custom gameboot. do i need to get rid of them before i update?
so i have to format my mem stick?
will it all fit on a 32mb? |

When you update to 2.71, it rewrites the entire Flash0:
And I'd recommend a bigger MS than 32 MB. |

Points: 32.59 Donate | | | ok ive deleted all the files . i tried the 2.71 update i got off of psp-hacks but it started up and said it was corrupted?
(EDIT): i got one off qj this ones 19.2 mb the other one was 16 mb.

Try this link. It's slower, but it should work. http://www.psphacks.net/files/PSPFir...2.71/EBOOT.PBP
If that still doesn't work, check the pspforumz.co.nr portal, on the side there's links to every firmware update.
Download 2.70, then update to 2.71 after that if all fails. | |
