And no, I highly doubt there's a brick prevention system. Sony can't stop the little "noob" from randomy deleting critical system files. If the files are broken, the PSP doesn't boot properly. If it doesn't boot properly, you can't recover it without the use of extra hardware. Also, how do the downgraders work if Sony has a brick preventer? Where do all the bricks come from?
Heh, a pretty silly question if you ask me. |

AHH!!! I remember that artical about the serial port re-flasher. But you do have a point...there is no reason for Sony to make a recovery thing because (at least to them) there should be no way for you to mess with your flash0. No messing with flash0=no chance of bicking.

and djcopey how do u plan on evening editing init.prx's i don't really think (besides custom firmwares) that there is a flasher that flashes to any MAJOR flash files (unless a trojen brick of some sort) so basically if u stick to the NORMAL flashers u will be able to recovery it will D_A's custom firmware recovery mod (although D_A's custom firmware does access MAJOR operating files, so if u mess those up well.... i guess ur f***ed lol )
