Constantly upping and downing your firmware
will wear out your flash chip. Someone on PSPUpdates tested that. He came around 96 full upgrades and downgrades, which consists of completely erasing and re-writing the whole firmware. Just upgrade and downgrade when necessary. Also, have you tried Fanjita's EBOOT loader for 2.0? Works really well, except for programs that require kernel access and programs that use IR or WiFi.
As for GTALCS, If I recall correctly, the update on the UMD is 2.0. That's what everyone else has been saying.
