| | | | Firmware emulators - advice please
Do these apps have any real world use?
Im a noob to using homebrew on the psp, do these firmware emulators let you play games such as Pro Evo 5 that require 2.01 firmware? I understand that GTA is still not playable as it uses the new video codec that 2.60 installs.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! |

| | | | GTA shipps with an 2.00 update on the UMD.
So stuff about a v2.6 video codec is nonsense.
i play GTA on a v2.01

Points: 84,973,253,489.59 Donate | | | dont change it to 2.01, you cant downgrade. it only requires 2.0, which you can downgrade from. so switch to 2.0, then go back for 1.5, repeat... |

Im not confident with downgrading.
Is there anyway to play these games without ACTUALLY upgrading the firmware? by using sxt changer or WAB version changer? |

So what is the use of the WAB changer? How is it useful? |

there once were games that just searched for the version number, newer games
depend on portions of the firmware they rely on to work.
that's why a spoofed version no. won't work, period.
just go to forums.maxconsole.net and follow the noob's guide to downgrading
if you want to have 1.5 and GTA then you will have to do this,
don't be a crybaby  |
