I have a psp1000 with original version 2.0 and updated
to 2.6 .I want to update to 2.71 so i can do all the updates/downgrades for SE. The problem is that it doesn't let me to update to 2.71 it starts showing the PSP logo and then switches off. Does anyone knows what do it do wrong?
p.s I don't have GTA so that's not a solution

p.s2 I there a third method to do what is necessary?

2.71 i just got a new psp yester day cuz my other one was 2.80

it was something really stupid i did... hehe
anyway i have now 2.71 and i installed henc i tried your installation file to SE and all others and i can't get them work the psp shuts off and that's it. I tried all the methods but i'm to blind to see what do i do stupidly wrong...again

Is it a TA-082 mobo? the way to check is to look at the back of your PSP, open the UMD drive, and if there's some writing on the top-right, saying something like IC-003, it's TA-082.

EDIT: Just saw your message, andreasch. You need to downgrade to 1.50 first, then install SE.
