ATTENTION PSP HALF BRICKS

1: Turn on your psp and have pspset already on your memory card.
2: Go to your memory stick apps and highlight pspset.
3: Hold down the brightscreen button and the screen should go black. Right when it goes black press x and pspset should be starting. DO NOT LET GO OFF THE BRIGHTSCREEN BUTTON WHEN U PRESS X.
4: After you have pressed x wait 2-3 seconds and let go of the brightscreen button and quickly press it again to turn on the screen.
5: Pspset should now be started or will start shortly and fade into the app without going into gameboot. (<-- this depends how long you hold the brightscreen button) and you will be able to restore your default gameboot with it.

NOTE: The brightscreen button is located near select, start, and the sound note. THIS WORKS 100% IVE DONE IT MYSELF KEEP TRYING IF YOU FAIL THE FIRST TIME

this works with ppl who havent installled custom FW and currupted there gameboot !! (ps. took it from gamemax forums credit goes to them !)

what type of half bricks, to me a half brick would refer to bad font or gameboot which wouldn't allow xmb access

This only works for PSPs with a bad gameboot. Bad fonts still can't be avoided. This is why I recommend using the font hack that does NOT install the fonts to flash0...

Heh, that IS FreePlay, he's just been promoted to an administrator.

Wow, this is extremely useful! An excellent find, guys! I may just make a news post on this!
