I have found a few locally to me that are either 1.5 or 2.0 and I wanted to make sure before I buy anything and not get what I want! |

If you get a 2.80 or under, come back and I or someoe else will help you to downgrade. |

2.0 = works with downgrader and can run 3.0x?
2.1 to 2.81 = works with downgrader and is fairly usefull? |

1.5 = Good for homebrew, not much else.
2.0 = Not good for homebrew, but has a web browser and other limited functions.
2.01-2.71 = Not good for homebrew, but can be upgraded to 2.71 to downgrade to 1.5
2.80 = Can be downgraded, but it's less safe.
2.81 and over = No homebrew, no hacks, no downgrader. Stay away.
2.71 SE/3.02 OE/3.03 OE = Store PSPs don't come with these, but they are hacked versions of firmwares that allow for homebrew access, with the other functionalities of the firmware. For example, 3.03 OE is 3.03 with homebrew and a bunch of added features, while 3.03 by itself is the worst for homebrew, as it has no hacks, no homebrew, etc. This is my favourite. |

My brand new PSP has 3.03, since I didn't know not to upgrade before I started reading this week. It came with 3.02 on it. And I fell for the gotta get the newest firmware bug thing. Since I didn't know anybetter. But heck I was stuck at 3.02 anyways.
So what are the odds that DAX will bust 3.0x open for brewing eventually? |
