Hopefully this won't set off any piracy buzzers

I've created a backup iso image of Socom 2 on my PC (Got it as an xmas present). I've loaded the image onto my memory stick using fast loader and has been working like a charm on single player mode. I was just wondering if I decided to play this on online infrastructure mode will this potentially ban me or worse.

I'm not sure how legal it is to ask this stuff since everything I've read has said that disc data cannot be manipulated in anyway under penalty of law. Thanks for the help in advance.

Well, I've never heard of anybody getting banned for using an ISO online. The worst that could probably happen is that the ISO is too compressed, so that Wi-Fi won't work.

I've been playing that game for some time and nothing happened, so I think you don't have anything to worry about

They can't tell if you're running an ISO unless they someday update the client to send extra details.

An ISO is mounted so that the PSP thinks it's a UMD. Therefore, no-one can tell remotely that you're not using a legit disk.

And why are you using fastloader? That's ancient history!
Update to 3.03 OE-A, then to OE-B and you can run them from the game menu, without region restrictions, and without a UMD needed. Do not update to the official 3.03 firmware! Doing so could relieve you of any chance of running homebrew ever again.

I was going to say that...
I just... forgot...

but he is right, I only use fastloader to dump UMD's not to run ISO's...
Or 3.03 OE-B or Devhook

Besides, everyone uses PSPfiler, right? If you have the newest version (2.7) you get the following new features:
-UMD ripper
-Maintenance of flash memory
-Chromatic tuner
-Memory Viewer

So, you have so many ways of ripping UMDs now, FastLoader is almost obsolete.

Meh, I'm not really an ISO person myself. I have enough money for any UMD I'd want.
