What... is... Popstation?

Hey. I am usually "in" the loops when it comes to homebrew, but this one has slipped past me. I am wondering, what it is, how it works, what firmware you need to run it as well as what AutoPopstation is.

No, im not talking about the PSP ripoff, I'm talking about the homebrew by Dark_Alex (just to clear that up).

Thx,
KillerHurdz

Basically, POPS is the official PS1 emulator bundled with 3.00 and above. Popstation is an app, run from the command line, that converts PS1 ISOs for playing on POPS, and AutoPopstation is an app that does the hard work for you.

^_^ AutoPopstation:
Quote:
Create ISO from game CD,
Extract ISO from premade Eboot,
Compress ISO into smaller Eboot,
Download Database of Game ID's,
Search Database of Game ID's,
Create a psx manual accessible from within game,
Launch docmaker GUI to do that easier,
Doesn't need illegal files,
Very small.
All you need to know:
Unzip it somewhere, and click on AutoPopstation4.bat

Move any ISO's or BIN's to the same folder as AutoPopstation4.bat.

^_^ You can get it here, or see the thread about it here or here.

Thx for the help, but I have one last question...

If the game I want is NOT in the database, can I not use it? I want to use "Red Asphalt" But it seems to not be there, only another one called "Rock n Roll Racing 2"...

[edit] Nvm. lol.

I was wondering... is there a POPStation folder that you can put on your MS so your PSX games accually show up in the POPStation spot instead of the regular homebrew/iso spot?

I don't think there is yet. Maybe an addition in the future?

But thats where it's supposed to go. If your talking about the [certificate utillity], all that does is show what PSX certificates/licences you have. On the original 3.0x you must have a certificate for the game, for the game to work.
