| | | Need help, possible screw up I had/have 2.71 w/ TA-082 mobo. I used CSFreak01's Easy 1.50 Downgrader. I follwed the readme txt and got all the screens I was supposed to get. I pressed "x" or "o" when I was supposed to. Everything seemed fine until the psp told me to re-do my settings. When I went to press a button, the screen went blank. The screen reappears after a minute, but I press a button and once again the screen goes blank/black. What now? I tried pressing "R" while powering up but nothing happens. I thought PSP was to go into recovery. The readme txt. for the Easy Downgrader didn't mention copying Hen-D/DH folder to my root, but I noticed other Downgraders do. Could this be the problem. I didn't copy the DH folder to my root. After minutes of pressing buttons and waiting for my screen to disappear and re-appear I noticed I have 1.50 installed. What should I do? Please help. |

The number of times that I have been saved by using recovery...
^_^ If only sony had thought that far ahead. Its like safe mode for windows. |

| | | | Thanks for help your guys. I figured out the problem. All I had to do was unplug the ac adaptor and all is well. I downgraded to 1.50 using the EasyDowngrader and then upgraded to 3.03oe-C. Everything works just fine now. |

I ran into that same problem when I flashed my second psp.
Then I basically did what charizard2006 said. Flashed and reflashed until I got it right again.
I found that the psp still worked it just had no video for 20 seconds after I pressed a key. So I used my buttons to move around the xmb blindly and the when the video came back I would select x or o. I got the psp into USB mode and was able to repair what was wrong and I was up and running again.
It can be scary when you think you have bricked the psp.
Recovery mode saved my butt the last time. More specifically the ability in EO-C to mount f0: via USB to my PC. I was able to restore my f0: from a PC back up when my video stopped working the second time during my l33t haX0rin session!!
Now that the 3.03 downgrader is out and I get me a copy of GTS:LCS I will be smacking that puppy too on my other psp!
I found the best thing to do while modding a psp is not to panic if something goes wrong, just work it until you know it's dead. Then give up.
