Do you have a UMD in the drive when you're trying to load it?

Well, overclocking won't have any noticeable effect on your system, at least not soon. The hardware was designed to run at 333 MHz, but Sony clocked it to 222 to preserve battery life.

Okay, so putting a UMD in doesn't help. I've read that there's an option having something like "launch boot.bin", is that correct? Someone said that disabling that helped the problem. Sorry about that, I'm still a 1.50 person myself.

*Sigh*, hmm. What about the "No AUTO-UMD" (?) option, have you tried that one? I'm just looking at solutions that other people found to work.

ya ive tried that also, its weird cause i can load wipeout pure and battlezone but not mgsp ops or ace combat adventure. the only difference i can notice between them is the file size, wipe out is 300mb, ace combat is 1.01 gigs

That may just be due to the game's contents. Another issue I've heard about is compression. Is that ISO compressed at all?
