Quick GameBoot question....

Ok, just mounted flash0,0 using usb-SSS, and found gameboot.pmf in vsh/resource. I downloaded the Super Gameboot pack, and just wondering, is it safe to just copy over the gameboot straight to flash (obviously will make a backup of original)?

EDIT: tried it, realised USB-SSS mounts as ReadOnly. So did it using recovery mode, worked great

Mods, feel free to delete this thread...

I have 3.03 OE-C installed, and the pack is here: Removed. Custom gameboots are created using pirated Sony software, and are not allowed to be shared...

(This was originally linked from a tutorial off psp3d)

there is a limit of 600kb for a gameboot to fully work (any bigger it misses part of the movie But as long as it fits on the flash0 it should work (max i've tried is 1.6mb)) and the OE firmwares will require more space on the flash0 for gameboots (dummy the chinese and korean fonts to gain 2.5mb) you can also do the same with fonts just copy and paste. NOTE backup the flash files first and id recommend copy and pasting you new files as apposed to deleting the file first as you may delete the wrong (or a critical) file and have an expensive brick

You could try Flash Agent, I think the most recent release is F2.

I'd use X-Flash.
But that's just me.

Flash Agent and X-Flash are both good. Sadly, X-Flash won't work on 3.03 OE-C . I wish it did. Oh well, all my flash editing is done by hand now that I know what to do. And if I don't, I use Flash Agent.
