The problem is that I found that replacing it directly relates to whether or not my PSX games on the PSP work, I looked back five pages searching for a topic that had my issue, but didn't find one, does anyone know of a way to get past this?
I'll describe what happens:
When I select the game and press X, instead of it going to the disclaimer that it usually does, it gets rid of everything on the screen except for the XMB waves and the background behind them. it stays there and doesn't do anything else until I do a hard shutdown. |

Easy fix:
1. Replace Flash0:/VSH/nodule/game_plugin.prx with a decrypted 2.50 one. Scan the file in a hex editor for opening_plugin. You should find the path "flash0/VSH/resource/opening_plugin.rco". Replace the opening_plugin.rco bit with something else like '0pening_plugin.rco'. Save.
2. Go to flash0:/vsh/resource and flash a copy of the unmodified opening_plugin.rco of your firmware, but do not delete the original!. Doesn't have to be decrypted.
Name it to whatever you changed it to in the PRX (0pening_plugin.rco).
Now, when you boot a POPS game, it should load from the unmodified one. Never modify or delete the backup one, as that's needed the way it is for POPS to work. To use a custom opening, just replace the original opening_plugin.rco with a custom one, and don't touch the backup. This does make it so that you can't have a custom gameboot logo, however. |

I still don't understand why a changed openning would result in PSX games not working, as I don't see why they would be related, but if this works, awesome. |
