Question Problem 2.00 psp

I have recently been asked to downgrade a colleagues psp however i have hit a brick wall. i am trying to run MPH dowgrader but the tif file is not displayed so i thought of upgrading to downgrade etc.. but the upgrade does not work correctly. these upgrade files are genuine sony updates. When i try and update it just displays the O and X symbols at the bottom and no text. any ideas. the mem stick has wab version changer on but this has not made any difference i have tried all available versions. i want to put 3.03 oe-c on for him.

if the tiff file didn't display either u put it on wrong or its already a 1.50 since tiff capability was new in 2.00 also i've had that happen to me that the update doesn't show anything on the screen uhhh try to get another update from PSP Hacks · Hacks, PSP Downloads, Cracks, Mods, Homebrew, Utilities · Hack Sony Play Station Portable go to their downloads section...
also if you don't have gta UNPATCHED, DO NOT UPDATE PASS 2.71!!!! I WARN U!

Thank you for that. I did a restore default settings and then upgraded to 3.03 and did the rest no probs. One strangething happened to me though whilst i did the initial update. the psp appeared to fail on the update @ 99% but 3,03 had installed. proper strange.

This is both normal and expected. The 99% error is when the PSP attempts to "upgrade" the PSP's registry to a 1.50 version, but since you've got the 2.00 version it can't upgrade it .
