The whole point of homebrew IS NOT just to pirate games, but to play homebrew games, use homebrew applications, emulate gaming systems from the VectreX to the Gameboy advance, and even as far as the PS1, to be able to expand the boundaries of the PSP, to modify it, to control it, to destroy the walls that Sony set up that limits the power inside of the PSP. It is controlling your PC from your PSP, using keyboards in conjunction with it, changing the XMB menu of your PSP to look better, installing shells such as irShell, using your PSP as a universal remote, being able to download BRAND NEW homebrew every day, and yes, it can pirate games.
You can play SOCOM 2 with it, you can even play Japanese games that, with the standard Sony firmware, would fail to function. The regular PSP without limits is homebrew; the power of a PC in the palm of your hands.

I feel unappreciated.

Anyway, If you want to look around at homebrew there is QJ downloads. QJ has an excellent download section but a crappy community.
