3.40 eboot showing up as invalid in Update Maker

i downloaded the official psp 3.40 firmware and put it in the appropriate folder, gave it the apropriate name, but the Update maker says the eboot is invalid. but it has no problem with the 1.50 eboot.

Your PBP file may be corrupt in a certain way, first re-download the file, maybe from a different source. Secondly, if the first fails, re-download the OEUPDATEMAKER program, and again, maybe from a different source.

Just as a reminder, the file names are as so, 150.pbp and 340.pbp.
If all else fails and you are already on a custom firmware, do this:

Quote:
Making a 3.40 OE-A DATA.DXAR

Recovery folder
1.50 Update
03.40 Update

1. Boot into recovery mode and enable USB

2. Open the 340DATA-Recovery.zip and copy the recovery folder to X:\PSP\GAME\

3. Copy the 1.50 update EBOOT renamed to 150.PBP and the 3.40 update EBOOT renamed to 340.PBP to X:\PSP\GAME\Recovery

4. Exit USB a run "Run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP"

5. Once done you will have a ready to flash 3.40 OE-A DATA.DXAR

[Guide] Recovering your PSP to 1.5, 3.03 OE-C, 3.10 OE-A or 3.40 OE-A - QJ.NET Forums
