well an interesting event occured tonght. I was running the 3.40e xmb theme manager of which i had already used several times before, i'd ran the program and the message"done!" appeared as to be expected and the system shut off. I turn my psp back on and get the black screen. As luck would have it i was able to run recovery and get back to 1.5.

but to unhalfbrick, get the dxar for whatever version you want to recover, download the installer and put it at /game/recovery/. then run it from recovery mode.
