Points: 28.47 Donate | | Okay, the module extraction procedure is the first one that the installer carries out, so it's safe to hard-reboot your PSP.
First of all, I would suggest that you stop using that downgrader immediately. Dark_AleX's TA-082 downgrader is old and there are safer and more effective ways to downgrade a TA-082 now. That one leaves side-effects.
Upgrade to 3.50 (no higher) and use the Noobz downgrader - it has TA-082 compatibility and are more effective. You do need a copy of the game, 'Lumines', though. 3.50 downgrader.
If you can't get hold of Lumines, update to 3.03 (not 3.30, or anything above 3.03) and find the 3.30 downgrader on the Noobz site. You need GTA:LCS for it.
Whatever you do, don't use the one you're trying to use. I've seen people ruin their PSP with it.

Points: 350.04 Donate | | If you don't have either of those games, you could use this 2.80 downgrader that doesn't require it. Even though it was made in January, it has all the latest fixes built in. Of course, it does require you to update your PSP from 2.71 to 2.80 (NOT 2.81, 2.82 or higher!).
Once you've downgraded safely, you could upgrade to the custom firmware 3.51 M33, of which version 7 is now available, with more TA-082 fixes built in. |

Points: 0.00 Donate | | | Yea I have heard the same thing. The one you tried using does leave some side-effects. But yea if you can upgrade to the FW 2.80 one. It is probably the easiest way w/ needing any umd or anything special except a PSP w/ 2.80 FW on it. |

| | | | how do i hard reset? its still at the black screen with those words. should i take the battery out? no the ms is not flashing. and its been like this now for more than 10 hours.

Points: 350.04 Donate | | | Yep, it seems safe to do so. Next time, I advise (and Gamer420 agrees) using the 2.8 downgrader might be a better idea, as the bug you were unfortunate to encounter might not be present in that one. |
