New user and need help

I`m a slow started and have just bought my first psp. i was told that it is quite east to play games if i downgrade(?) to 1.5 and use devhook(?). i have 2.71 firmware and was wondering if people could help me on what to do. ive looked at many websites but its all very confusing with everyone having different ways or not full explinations.. ive tried several ways but i cant get it to work. again, any help would be great. thanks

All of it might seem real confusing or difficult, but it's actually real easy. I am a slow learner as well.Instead of using devhook to use more recent games, you can downgrade to 1.50 and upgrade to a custom firmware. For more information on this visit this tutorial.
