| | | | Whats next after 3.03 OE-C Hi
I haven't been getting involved with the firmwares for long time and I just found out that sony has released 3.80. Are there any alternative firmwares that is similar to 3.80 ? My PSP is the original psp and installed with 3.03 OE-C. Since I don't play games on PSP that much, I would like to switch back to the formal track of firmwares. My question is can you update to 3.80 or do i need to remove 3.03 OE-C first , if thats the case, how do i remove it ?
Thank you |

But if you don't want to wait;
no, you don't need to "remove" your current custom firmware to go to an official firmware. |

| | | | Oh, I guess I will wait for it. I hope it will be better than 3.80 |

| | | | I'm confused. What do you mean 3.71 M33 required the latest version of the previous firmware to install? What latest version is that ? Also, if I install the 3.71 M33, would I still be able to install 3.80 M33 ? |

Q.What latest version is that ?
A.3.52m33 4
Q.Also, if I install the 3.71 M33, would I still be able to install 3.80 M33 ?

Points: 352.42 Donate | | So, in summary, what we're saying is this:
Upgrade to 3.52 M33, then to 3.52 M33-4.
Then upgrade to 3.71 M33, then 3.71 M33-4.
(It might be a good idea, now, to install the 1.50 kernel addon v2.)
You're now ready for the release of 3.80 M33, and as a bonus, you've got the current latest-and-greatest in firmwares!
If you need any help in doing that, we at PSP3D are here to help! |

1. Get the 3.52 M33 release from www.dark-alex.org. Open it, and extract the M33CREATOR folder to the PSP/GAME150 folder on your PSP.
2. Download the 1.50 and 3.52 updates. You may be able to get them from this site, if not, PSP Hacks · Hacks, PSP Downloads, Cracks, Mods, Homebrew, Utilities · Hack Sony PlayStation Portable has them.
3. Extract the EBOOT.PBPs (if they're compressed), and rename the 1.50 one to 150.PBP and the 3.52 one to 352.PBP.
4. Copy these two files (150.PBP and 352.PBP) to the /PSP/GAME150/M33CREATOR folder.
5. Charge your battery up to 75%, and run the 3.52 M33 update program.
That should do you, up to 3.52 M33. Upgrading to 3.52 M33-4 is just downloading the update from dark-alex.org, and extracting the PSP folder to the root of your MS and running the update. (To extract to the root, select where it says 'Removable Disk (X: )', where X is your PSP's drive letter, on the extract screen.)
These instructions are assuming you have decent experience with your computer, WinRAR and enough experience with your PSP to be able to extract files to it. If you don't understand my instructions, just say so. (Come to think of it, there should be a formal guide on these forums for upgrading to 3.71 M33-4...)

| | | | Thank you for the instructions and I will try to follow it as accurate as i can.
For the 1.50 and 3.52 updates, I found Sony "PSP 1.50 FW Updates" and "Sony PSP 3.5X FW Updates" Are those the two files i need to download from the link you have provided in the above? | |
