| | | Possible exploit on 2.81, ps1 emulator starts Hi all
I know you all have seen a lot of "possible exploit" posts so don't be mad, one more wont hurt hehe.
So, what happened was...
I have had 2 psp one 1.5 and one 2.81, by mistake i inserted the memory card on the 281 and when i tried to execute the ps1 emulator its started.
No "corrupted" error message, it just starts, i get the "starting application psp logo" it reads from the memory card and then crashes.
So, if all programs for 1.50 get a corrupted message on higher firmware why does psx1 emulator starts? And most important could this be used for an exploit?
thanks for reading |

| | | but what if it runs on other firmware version? that could rule out the use of "save game" exploits if an exploit using the PlayStation one was possible.
its a long shot i know, i have no idea if it would have kernel access, i never coded any thing for the psp so i really don't know much about that. |

Easiest way to check - is the icon of this 'PS1 emulator' the icon of a game or does it say something like 'PSX-P' on it? |
