FF7 Problem on Disc 2.(Not a switching problem.)

I'd advise you not to read this unless you have completed the game, or disc 2 of FF7.

Hi, I'm having a problem on Final Fantasy VII on my PSP, I'm running CFW 3.99 m33-2.
Everything was running perfectly until recently on Disc 2. The cut-scenes have run through but they have been getting noticeably choppier.

I'm currently in the Forgotten City, finding out I need Holy to destroy Meteor. Now, this is my FIRST time through the game, so please don't ruin anything for me.

Anyways, Before I came here, I found the Key of Ancients by total accident, and it just so happens I need it here. So, right after Bugenhagen starts talking, the cut-scene that triggers when you have the key automatically happens. So, when Bugenhagen places the key into the Music box, and the Water comes crashing down, I walked into it, the screen quickly faded to black, and Bugenhagen says: "It's just the screen projecting the image! Look at the screen!!" Or something along those lines, WHILE THE SCREEN IS STILL BLACK, and just stays there. I wait a little while and there's a random little buzzer that goes off.(Like when you do something wrong.) And just stays there.

I'm using the 3.90 pops loader, and I'm loading 3.72 pops.

Help?

Is that a better firmware for PSX emulation?

With each firmware upgrade, the emulation gets a little better. Upgrading might solve your problem, it might not. If you upgrade and the problem persists, you might have a bad eboot file. I would suggest recreating the eboot, via popstation or whatever. If you downloaded the eboot, we don't wanna know you did. If ya do tell us, we will have to close this thread and we won't be able to help you. Sorry, site policy.

Nope, I dumped my friends copy of the game, apparently he has the PAL version.

If I were to convert the American version under the same save-name, would it still have my data for the PAL version?

Most likely (99% chance here). The pal and ntsc versions of the game have a different disc ID, and thus the psp will look for a different save file. I don't know of any way to somehow fake pops into looking for your file.

Hopefully he'll learn not to try and push quite possibly unconstitutional bills though the state assembly and then waste tax money fighting it in court. Plus, he has failed the bar exam 4 times . Disclaimer: These are my opinions, and I am wholy responsible for them.

also did u make a (1) multi-disc eboot or (2) each disc individually. multi disc allows for recognition of save files from disc to disc (ie 1 to 2, 2 to 3); where as if done individualy you have to save the game at the end of the disc and then edit the save file name so the next disc can recognize it...

just some thoughts....

(P.S) james bond is on, man i love that)

Does 3.99 m33 exist????

No there was no 3.99 cfw. But it was probably just a type-o. I mkae t hem a ll teh tmie. Wow that just as irritating to type as it probably is to read.

Anyway, when you go to convert the US version, just put down SCUS-XXXXX. Where X is your game ID number, I know this is Algerbra3D now. I'm pretty sure SCUS is the UK game ID letters, but I'm not sure. I'll look it up.

EDIT: Alright, I got the letters:

US: SLUS
Canada: SCUS
Japan: SLIP
PAL: SLES or SCED

My discs are SCES00867.

Does anyone know a good site for the Pal version of the unmentionables?
