Using this loader for other programs

HW.BIN can be replaced with another program, so long as it obeys these
restrictions:
- Must be linked to load to address 0x09fc0000
- Entry point must be 0x09fc0000
- Your application is responsible for determining its own syscall IDs - the
standard NID stub method for linking with the system will not work.
- Maximum theoretical supported size of 64k - the real maximum may be
somewhat smaller.

Points: 22.23 Donate | | | The problem is finding the source for most games. You can't just rip apart an EBOOT and convert it over to 2.01. And plus, even with source, its much much tougher than you all think, I have personally tried. That's why the 2.01 Tetris that PSP3D released a while ago was a big deal.

Points: 1.80 Donate | | yeah u could put code in it to run tetris... i dunno if it only were the admin or of it were both fanjita and the admin that devoloped a tetris for 2.50 but the screen were way off.. i haven't tested it though couse i stille haven't got the files and admin promised to do another beta tetris through the gta exploit but i've not seen any new updates on the thread i'll post a link to it as soon as i find it http://psp3d.com/showthread.php?t=93...t=beta+testers

It was originally released with a "Hello World" program, that it could run.
Following on from that, I helped the psp3d Admin port one of my old Tetris games, so that it could also be run from GTA (although, only on v2.01 FW).
Before the Hello World, I ported a downgrader to use the same loader, but it does not work - the GTA environment does not provide access to the PSP's flash, so downgrading using currently-known methods is not possible.
I'm working on porting the EBOOT loader to this environment (so that 2.01/2.5, and later 2.6) users can use it, stay tuned for future news on that. |
