Just a stupid idea

Sorry guys, but I just got an idea how to "maybe" up/downgrade almost any psp fw. Isn't there a chance to somehow force the psp to think that it is being upgraded by a new firmware - but in fact you're actually downgrading it? I.E. "rename" the upgrade - for example: you have a 2.01, take a 1.5 fw and rename it and change all the version info in the source code so it pretends to be 2.5, 2.6, 3, 9, 1000256823, or anything else...? So the psp thinks and allows you to upgrade, but you are in fact downgrading it? Well, that's basically the idea - it's so stupid and simple, that I was "affraid" to ask, but you never know...

Hk be easy, you get flamed now for giving people answers who have them right in front of their face. Well Hkseo is correct, you need to read the stickies. No matter how much new people come in and I tell, they just dont seem to get it right. There is a sticky located under homebrew/hacking made by hkseo that has what has beeen tryed and what hasnt worked.

Welcome to PSP3D

Yes, it is JUST A STUPID IDEA! Don't tell me that the only reason why you registered and created an account was THAT! I don't want to get banned for flaming but this is just stupid!!!
