I think it may be doing something with the IND file (files if you use a Memory Stick Duo PRO) in the root of the MS, possibly writing then deleting something, because when you open it, it is blank. Could there be a way to do something with these, place code in them, or something, so when you start your PSP, it will be executed? Just a random thought, but, hey, you never know...

That's like asking what Windows does when you start it. |

| | | I think .ind files are not used i tried a lot of things with it but nothing
Then for the start up's light:
It can be just an initialisation of the ms adaptor, the psp checks if there's any ms and "mounts" it, or maybe it checks a "secret sector" that could contain some rescue boot code..., MPH told he tried to put some code on the MBR but nothing. My idea's to connect to the psp's ms socket a machine that could "catch" the sectors the psp tries to access, but i don't know how to do that... |

| | | | If there's a good electronician here plz say us if exchanges between the psp and the ms can be catched during the boot?!
I have another idea, but very dangerous: i read about the browser's bug that reinstalls the fw, i think if you remove the ms during the update about 98%, maybe the psp will boot (not sure! don't try this) and see that its flash is corrupted and say to reinstall the firmware?! | |
