yeh, that was used in the previous downgrader. they made a 2.00 psp think it was a 1.00 and then you would start up the 1.50 eboot

Maybe I'm a bit confused, but all this hype around the so-called "new exploit" does not convinced me.
I examined the code and all I can say is we have a way to crash the PSP.
You can't can use it to launch arbitrary code, so this is not an exploit.

that would brick the psp because 2.5 uses a different kind of index.dat
