Points: 1.60 Donate | | | stupid downgrade idea..may work last month deslotaX(i think thats how its spelled) said he was able to take out out his memory card right b4 the upadte started(the first card 2.o1(ithink) and put the other card in 2.6) and it skinpped the 2.5 and 2.o1 even though it started on 2.oo so he thought you could you could use the same theory for downgrading.so you put in the 2.6 and when it stars updating at 1% you put it in sleep mode and you switch to 1.5 well that didnt work so he also tried swapping it with 2.oo. well i think if we could get an experianced programmer(fanjita,butterballer) he/she could make a "modified" firmware version so when you swap it works?
dont flame i suck at programing and hacking if its already been tried dont flame at me for posting this thread. |

Points: 5.86 Donate | | | Sure, if you wanna brick your psp. If your % is even at 0 your psp is getting bricked, if you take out your ms or even try to put it into sleep mode. |

Points: 1.60 Donate | | | ther was a thread bout it yesterday. i didbt read that much of it cuz i had to get off the comp but ya pm des he said it worked for him.but he was kinda stuck at 2.6 so he couldnt try his downgrade method.
off topic but i thought sony was supposed to come out with an up date like last week what ever happened to that? |

I suppose that if you could exploit it and see what the 2.60 update loads (use some program to watch it on 1.5 or 2.00 and see what it calls, essentially log it). and btw, butterballer isn't much of a programmer (that is what he said to me)
Train2335 is trying to get homebrew to run (the actual swap was his idea) with the swap, i just put the 1.50-2.00 updates instead of his homebrew app on it.
If anyone wanted to try to run a helloworld through this, go ahead and post your findings |

Points: 67.69 Donate | | | the point of yesterdays thread re: impossible to brick 2.01+ (as i was involved in the discussion) was that we were trying to find out if anyone (through tinkering around with their psp) had bricked their 2.01+ psp without going through the usual update method because if they had, this would show that whatever they were doing had accessed the flash. |
