Exclamation Background 2.01 US Question

I just wanted to know for sure everybody is aware of this and how it excactly works. When i use a homemade background image, like say a photo of my own face, the psp loads this image with no memory stick inserted. even after rebooting the PSP. doesn't this mean the image gets stored someplace?

*edit* ment EU, my excuse :-P

That was also my fist thought. If so, can't 2.01+ be faked into loading another file masked with an image extension (.jpg.bmp).

The problem is I have absolutely no programming experience/knowledge. I am only expressing some thoughts I believe may be possible, taking all of the facts/knowledge learned on psp3d in account.

If this information is encrypted, and you can somehow get it back encrypted, maybe you can put result of minor changes (like changing one pixel somewhere) and figure out the key? or make a program capable of regisering the changes for faster results :-P ...?
